Trey Clegg is one of America's young talents in the field of Organ Performance.  His playing is recognized for its clarity, excitement, and expressiveness.  The American Organist journal writes, "With amazing technique and a superabundance of energy, it was clear this young man would go far."

He is the Director of Music/Principal Organist of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, a position he has held since 2004.  In this position, Trey is hailed for his versatility in playing, singing, conducting, and composing in a wide diversity of musical genres.  St. Paul's is the second largest Historically Black Episcopal Church in the United States, and Trey has built the Music Department at St. Paul's to be one of the largest of any Episcopal Church in the country.  Under Trey's leadership, St. Paul's has an adult choir, four additional adult ensembles, a children's choir, a handbell choir, a concert series, and three part-time music assistants on staff.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution writes, "Trey Clegg filled the elegantly gloomy 1908 sanctuary with sound in his recent organ concert. It was like the soundtrack to the first dawn."  As a highly sought-after concert organist, Trey frequently performs solo organ concerts (on enormous pipe organs) all over the United States and in Europe.  He travels to Europe every summer to perform on regular concert series in the great cathedrals. In 2007, he performed on a solo tour of Europe which included organ concerts in Amsterdam, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Paris, and London.   In 2008, he performs in Berlin.

Trey is also the Adjunct Professor of Organ and Staff Accompanist at Spelman College in Atlanta, a position he has held since 2007.  Trey earned the Bachelor of Music degree from Southwest Baptist University in Missouri and the Master of Music degree from Emory University in Georgia.  He plans to pursue Doctoral Study in Music within the coming year.

He also is a professional singer in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus.  Trey has performed with the Atlanta Symphony in American cities including Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City; the latter of which has included numerous performances in Carnegie Hall.  He has also performed with the Atlanta Symphony on two European tours.

As a conductor, Trey is sought after as a clinician and guest choral conductor across the Southeastern United States.  He has conducted many workshops on diversity in choral music and hymnody for the Episcopal Church.  He is also the Head of Music for the Mid-Atlanta Convocation in the Diocese of Atlanta, a position appointed to Trey by the bishop.

As a composer, Trey's organ music is published by Morningstar Music in St. Louis, Missouri.  Morningstar is one of the largest music distributors in the United States and overseas.  Trey's two largest published volumes of organ music, "Amazing Grace" and "All Creatures Praise" have both sold over 50,000 copies in the United States and in England.

Trey's organ performances have been heard on Atlanta's WABE FM 90.1 as well as National Public Radio.  He has recorded four CD's which are in international circulation:  "In a Grand Cathedral," "A Celebration of Diversity," "A Mighty Fortress," and "Praise and Peace Resounding," the last of which is a trumpet and organ duo recording with recently retired Atlanta Symphony Orchestra trumpet player, Larry Black.
