The Episcopal Youth Community
Our EYC carries forth the tradition of youth actively involved in Leadership, Outreach and Fellowship. Both the Jr. and Sr. EYC groups meet regularly on forth Sunday’s during the 11:15am service.
The EYC is currently participating in Dave Ramsey’s – Generation Change providing age appropriate financial education to our Youths.
Although we have fellowship and other combined activities our EYC is split between Middle and High school.
Jr EYC
The Jr EYC known as GENISIS consists of approximately 20 Middle schoolers. Some of this year’s activities included acting as “Sants’s Helper’s” during The Outreach Annual Adopt-a-Family program. They planted vegetable gardens at the Outreach House in hopes of yielding fresh produce for the community. The Christmas project was a Shoebox Donation Gift Project to aid the children of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter.
Jr. EYC is under the Leadership of Mr. Randell Adams (770) 424-3345
EYC
Mr. Robert Byrd leads the 24 High school youths refered to as the “ Cool Kids”. They participate heavily in community outreach and volunteer work. June 2010 was their Mission Jamaica trip to Mandeville, Jamaica. The youths worked hard at the Hanberry Childrens orphanage where they clean and restored the current facility. They also brought good cheer to the Manchester Homes infirmary where bed ridden elderly patients reside.
Find us on Facebook to keep up with all of our activities. – St Pauls Sr EYC
